MVP noticiou no Twitter que ele já planeia aparecer no TNA ou na WWE há muito tempo. MVP que completa 40 anos na próxima semana esclareceu a seguinte mensagem a Vince McMahon:

"So '40' is now days away. If I make it, I'll spend the day contemplating my journey. I had lots of friends that didn't make it this far. 40. Single. Home owner. Tax payer. Semi law abiding citizen (we all speed). I'm in a great place in life. Im healthy & happy. Life is great. I'm on a VERY short list of professional wrestlers who have had the HONOR of working on Wrestle Kingdom AND Wrestlemania! MVP has changed my life in SO many positive ways. Thanks Vince. And thank ALL of YOU for
allowing MVP to exist in YOUR entertainment world!"
